As Ashley & Michael dreamed about their wedding day, they knew they wanted it to be on the 7-year anniversary of the day they met (New Years Eve) – where they met (Forest Highlands).
When we talked to Ashley and Michael a few weeks before their wedding day, they told us they were praying for snow. At that point, there was literally no snow on the ground in Flagstaff or at Forest Highlands, and they really wanted to have a white wedding. Then, as luck would have it, the day before their wedding the heavens opened and granted them their wish.
In fact, it snowed so much, it took almost three times as long as it normally would for us to drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff. But it was so worth it. Although it was certainly cold, we were in awe of the beauty of the snow flurries and white covered trees all around. And it provided the most perfect setting for a couple so fun and so in love.
Ashley and Michael truly know how to live life to the fullest. The way they laugh together, dance together, their love for family and friends (especially for their dog, Ollie), is inspiring. They seem to know the secret to embracing each moment as if it were their last, and I admire these two for their love of life and adventure.
We are so thankful to Dave & Drea from Desert House Productions for referring us to this sweet couple. And by the way, Dave and Drea threw the most freakin’ awesome party at their reception. It was an amazing New Years Eve celebration we will always remember!!
